Weekend Clean-up: What you missed in the World of Sports

The Tour Championship and FedEx Cup were awarded on Sunday. The former going to Rookie of the Year, Xander Schauffele. Schauffele is a 23-year old American from Southern California. He shot a 68 on the last round to beat out Justin Thomas for the tournament win.

Justin ThomasBut it was Justin Thomas that went home with the largest pay check, winning the FedEx Cup beating out Jordan Spieth. Thomas adds to an already exciting year, winning his first major at the PGA this year.

The biggest winner of the weekend, was American Golf. The young American talent is undeniable with both Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele adding to an already crowded group of talent from the US. The Presidents Cup this week should be exciting for US fans.
