Weekend Line-up: College Football

College Football

There are some great matchups with spots in the College Football Playoff on the line this weekend. Here they are in schedule order.

Friday @ 9:30 pm on FS1

#9 Washington (9-1) @ Stanford (6-3)

Washington is the PAC-12’s only chance to make the playoffs, but Stanford is a good team who has been ranked on and off throughout the season.

Saturday

#1 Georgia (9-0) @ #10 Auburn (7-2)

2:30 pm on CBS

If you have not seen the best team in the country play, this is the game to watch. They take on a quality SEC opponent.

#20 Iowa (6-3) @ #8 Wisconsin (9-0)

2:30 pm on ABC

It is still surprising that an undefeated BIG 10 team is not in the Top 4, but it is obvious the committee is not impressed with Wisconsin’s wins. Here they face a ranked team, maybe a win here propels them above the one-loss teams ahead of them.

#2 Alabama (9-0) @ #16 Mississippi State (7-2)

6 pm on ESPN

Could two undefeated SEC teams go down this week? They are both playing ranked, conference opponents. I would not bet on it. But I would tune in to watch, just in case.

#3 Notre Dame (8-1) @ #7 Miami (8-0)

7 pm on ABC

College Game Day is in Miami this week and an old rivalry has new meaning. Miami is undefeated but ranked behind multiple 1-loss teams. A win here, just like Wisconsin, could throw this historical powerhouse back in the Playoff picture.

#6 TCU (8-1) @ #5 Oklahoma (8-1)

7 pm on FOX

It is the battle for the BIG 12 in Norman, Oklahamo. The winner hopes for Playoff glory, the loser sits with Oklahoma State on the sidelines.
